Tree clearing remnant • click to embiggenWhile I was picturing the Vernal water and submerged ice scene (see the following entry), Hugo was off picture scouting and this tree clearing remnant caught his eye.

I gave him the camera and he shuffled fore and aft until he arrived at the precise framing that he thought was good. No point and shoot for him.

Not bad for a 5 year old, although he is, in fact, the Son of Cinemascapist and the Grandson of Landscapist. So, of course, we do expect more from the boy.

to wit: the Landscapist's pictures look like they were done by a 5 year old ;-)
With this, and others of Hugo's you've posted, I think he has a very good eye for the real as it pertains to the landscape around him. A bright and observant young man.

Hugo really wanted to take a picture of a pretty fence and rainbow, but gravitas said "no, that stump in the only thing you are allowed to picture."
