Beautiful barn! There are so many layers to this image, both vertically and front to back. And it is like looking through an old, weathered window, which adds the layers of time to this picture. Still, cold, at rest.
The light is fading, the weather turns and it starts to get cold. Picture taken, collar is turned up against the cold and head home. From this angle, it looks like the barn is trying to turn up its collar against the cold, too.
With its angles, the barn resembles the rather flat-topped mountains (whether natural shape or cut off by cloud). It looks well prepared to carry a winter-load of snow. My home is my mountain.
