Jim Jirka ~


Tom’s latest post inspired me to continue working on an image that always interested me. The sense of mystery in the clearing. The unknown awaiting around the corner, obscured by vegetation and darkness. A foreboding feeling.

But in the end….

Jim,
I get the feeling that you are going away from something dark and into the light. Yet, I also feel a sense of shelter too, by that overhanging branch, in the physical sense, because it looks like it is raining and I don't want to step out into the clearing and get wet!

I just flat out like this photograph.

I feel as though I am approaching a tribal council. It will be interesting.

Feels like a good place for an open secret....I love this Jim! The lightness of the rock is emotionally and physically compelling.
