The abstract quality of this image is very appealing

@Clifford: I'm leaning more towards "surreal". We can readily determine that it's some fancy / arty light shades in a large room, which IMO makes it less of an "abstract".

@Sven: I can`t help but think of the American painter Andrew Wyeth when asked about the representational quality of his work contended he was an abstract painter.

@Clifford: I wasn't aware of Andrew Wyeth, but Wikipedia has a good article. Note this line from the article:

"Wyeth was a visual artist, primarily classified as a realist painter, like Winslow Homer or Eakins. In a "Life Magazine" article in 1965, Wyeth said that although he was thought of as a realist, he thought of himself as an abstractionist ..."

Looking at Wyeth's paintings (many are on the 'net) they look "realist" to me but with an emotional undertone.

So that raises another question: most art critics (and my own humble opinion as a hobby photographer) label Wyeth as "realist", whereas Wyeth labels himself as something quite different (an "abstractist"). Who's correct? I have my opinion on that one as well ;)

Love these light fixtures. Definitely has a floating look to them. Very modern and light.
