civilized ku # 2405 ~ white Saturday
Yesterday was Black Friday. I took Hugo and his Au Sable Forks girl friend (not, girlfriend) deep in to the Adirondacks where we encountered not a single person during a 3 hour walk about.
Today was a kinda White Saturday. I stayed closer to home, although, we did buy a new car.

my response: No, no Fiat yet. It may be in our future but this new car is a replacement for the wife's primary vehicle, so it had to be a bit more practical (not to be confused with soulless and boring) than the Fiat.
BTW, it's nice to know someone has Bin Reading some of my old articles.
Featured Comment: John Linn also wrote (in part): "In Ku #225 you say "words, picturing wise, are in short supply of late", but I seem to recall you have said similar things in the past, then went on to write many more interesting, informative and provocative posts, so it just may be a bit of writers block ....
my response: Your opinion on the word shortage is vindicated by today's entry (11.28.12) and, re: "Bin reading" - it reminded me of my ill-conceived, or so some thought, and, most certainly, ill-timed concept for an Adirondack marketing campaign targeting the NYC metro market. Shortly after 9/11, when NYers were stressed out and many were getting out of town for weekend (or longer) getaways, I suggested an Adirondack advertising campaign based on the the headline, "Been Laden Down With Stress?"

Finally, the Fiat?
(Bin reading some of your old posts)
A couple of comments:
- Not sure where "bin" came from... I could blame it on my iPad auto-correct but it probably was my personal non-auto-correct.
- In Ku #225 you say "words, picturing wise, are in short supply of late", but I seem to recall you have said similar things in the past, then went on to write many more interesting, informative and provocative posts, so it just may be a bit of writers block. I will be checking both the words and pictures sites daily.
- Regarding your older posts... I recommend your readers take the time to go back and read (or re-read) old posts. Even if you have read them before, fresh inspiration may hit... we may be in a different place and the words and pictures may mean something new.
We have gotten spoiled by always assuming a post (or two) every day, but your efforts and thoughts require time and energy... with what appears to be little return from the readers. But I guess the pay-off for you is your "journey with the aim of understanding and codifying my relationship to and with the medium and its apparatus" and we were only along for the ride.
I have the impression that you are 6' 3" ? I think the 500 would be awfully tight.
