Unfortunately, it seems that the opposite - FOOLISHNESS & IGNORANCE SHALL BE THE INSTABILITY OF THY TIMES - would be much more accurate.

If the problem was only ignorance, I’d say we had a chance.
Assume there is a national knowledge index with the minimum level required to reasonably self-govern at 70; I’d say we are at the level -20 right now. A considerable amount of energy would need to be expended to get the nation to 0 (zero). Sadly, Obama is probably an 85 or 90; governing like a 69.
Perhaps can the 'wisdom' and go with 'knowledge will fuel the instability of our times'? Much financial wizardry, for example, went into the recent disasters. And what about the tremendous fund of knowledge that combines in contemporary war-making?
