civilized ku # 1177 ~ wherein I see the light
We are having a string of sunny days and light is streaming in the windows in our house.

my response: In fact, those are cow bells - cow bells that have never been any where near a cow. They are cow bells used for making noise at the annual World Cup (Olympic athletes) winter events - luge, bobsled, skeleton - held in Lake Placid at what was formerly known as the Version Olympic Winter Sports Complex (which also includes biathlon (skiing with guns) and Nordic skiing venues. Hence the Verizon logo on 2 of the cow bells.
Cow bells are the winter Olympic/World Cup equivalent of those really annoying Vuvuzela horns heard at the last Summer Olympic soccer competitions - just another reason, in my book, why I don't like soccer.

Mark,
I am perplexed by what appears to be a Verizon cow bell (and two others also) on the floor under the table. What gives?
Ah yes, I can hear them now. Thanks Mark.
And about those Vuvuzelas--they actually grew on me during the course of the World Cup soccer tournament. Turns out they mask my severe tinitus quite well.
Sorry, but this does not work. There's no way these interior light reflexes could be so much brighter than the outside light. I think sometimes it's just OK to let something burn out. Some pixels may be harmed but I know no mercy :)
