This blog is intended to showcase my pictures or those of other photographers who have moved beyond the pretty picture and for whom photography is more than entertainment - photography that aims at being true, not at being beautiful because what is true is most often beautiful..

As always.
I guess it's easier to look at pictures rather than a thousand words.
I DO like your pictures. Recent newcomer to your website that has also taken to carrying a micro 4/3 camera everywhere. I also happen to like your politics.
Yeah - always like seeing your photos as much as reading your political rants, being an über progressive myself. Regarding the E-P1, last time we emailed I had one on order. Well, I like it - but traded it for an E-P2 w/EVF because it's a lot more convenient for me to use on the streets and outdoors here in sunny SoCal with the 14-42 zoom. It's every bit as good as the APS-C Nikon I sold and good for anything I can print on my Epson R2400. Finally, Olympus color in a compact package. There is something to be said for the color engine.
Jimmi - I don't mind looking at 1000 words, just so long as I don't have to read them ;-)
Yes.
Yes I also enjoy the images.
Always fun Mark and of course I enjoy the pictures a great deal. Your rants are similar to my rants only I do it out loud (very loud) at the dinner table, in the coffee shop with friends and in front of the TV. If I added online ranting I'd probably blow a gasket. Lately I just feel as if I have fallen down a deep, scary rabbit hole and can no longer make heads or tails of this country I live in.
I check in pretty much everyday. My primary reason is to see the photographs.
Re: the image in this post, hope you're not having flooding?!
I enjoy your pictures Mark. I have to say I've started slipping in a few square crops with my work, but it's mostly 4:3 and a smaller percentage of 3:4. I never felt comfortable with 3:2.
Can't say I'll make everything square with the faux border and vignette, though. ;-)
