Ship and pier ~ Old Montreal / Montreal, CA • click to embiggenOnce again, I'm back in Montreal for a couple days, this time because the wife is here to attend the annual retreat for the North Country Chamber of Commerce in Plattsburgh (NY). She is a board member-elect, waiting for her term to begin on the new year.

I must admit that every time I hear the phrase, "the wife, Chamber of Commerce Board Member-elect", I tend break out in a fit of uncontrollable laughter. That's not because she is not going to be a worthy board member - I'm quite certain that she will be a valued board member. It's simply because neither of us ever thought we would ever hear that phrase - it's a kind of Mission Improbable thing.
