Another photographer, Allan Sekula, has taken that idea a step further and stated that, in our present ideological climate, these myths do not hold the same weight for intellectuals and media professionals: "... the old myth that photographs tell the truth has succumbed to the new myth that they don't."

Me? I like it both ways and have no trouble whatsoever embracing and seeing both "myths" evidenced in a single picture.
