ku # 550 ~ baby it's cold outside
We're having a bit of a cold snap as they say. Tonight's low could be as low as -30F.
That why for the past 48 hours I have been working like a madman on a backyard ice rink. 2 more coats of water and it should be ready for use. Maybe we'll have a skating party with a bonfire in the outdoor fireplace.
Today I went out at -5F to make a few "cold" pictures of which the above is one. If it is -15F or colder, I'll be out again tomorrow morning looking to make a really cold picture.

We had a long spell of brutal cold that just ended…abruptly yesterday. We went from highs around -15F a couple days ago to a high of 45F today. 45 degrees in Anchorage in January! It's a sloppy mess around here.
Mark,
-27 this morning in North Tunbridge, VT. I wish I hadn't been going to work, as there were some nice photos to be had along the First Branch river with rime ice,fog and interesting ice patterns.
-26F this morning...I made a video of what happens to my Tea Water when it is thrown into air at that temperature...pretty nifty!
