Hi Mark,

One of my favorite shots of yours from the last month or so which is saying a lot because you have been extremely prolific lately and there have been a lot of images that I have spent time enjoying. From a storytelling standpoint this one, for me packs a wallop. Everyone in the frame with the exception of one partially revealed smiling face looks like they are in a state of depressed, suspended animation... which is an amazing compliment to the concept of "statue" but a more amazing irony in the context of "Liberty". The word "refreshment" in the top right corner takes the irony here to another level. I almost immediately thought of Sternfeld's American Propects (my favorite photography book of all time) when I saw this image. It also happens to be visually rich to my eyes in terms of color. This is one that will stick with me for a long, long time....Craig

Mark, really. This is no way to sell images - you've got to know what sells. Look, I have the proof right here:

Thomas Kincades guidelines

Sure, it was written by a "painter" for a film crew to recreate his paintings on screen, but you can almost see photo websites saying the exact same things...

Seriously, though. I think it's an interesting example of how we've managed to industrialize nostalgia.

I am going to use Thomas Kuncades guidelines to make this holiday season magical!
Thanks for the link.
