"My photographs are not planned or composed in advance, and I do not anticipate that the onlooker will share my viewpoint. However, I feel that if my photograph leaves an image on his mind, something has been accomplished." ~ Robert Frank

Here's another one, might let us think about the real importance of photography:

Charles Baudelaire (1821 - 1867)

"Photography must return to its real task, which is to be the servant of the sciences and the arts, but the very humble servant, like printing and shorthand which have neither created not supplanted literature."

(I don't think I fully agree, to many important pictures have been made (!) after CB once said this.)

This image has a very visceral effect on me Mark and I don't mean that as a pun. I don't know...there's something about the scissors, the splitting skin of the chicken, the gut bag and that rooster looming over the sink that makes me really uneasy. It's humorous and kinda gross and repulsive at the same time. So..this image will probably stay on my mind for awhile.

Also, just wondering if this was one of those unexpected convergence of elements or did you set it up? Not that it matters in the end but I'm curious.
