About This Website

This blog is intended to showcase my pictures or those of other photographers who have moved beyond the pretty picture and for whom photography is more than entertainment - photography that aims at being true, not at being beautiful because what is true is most often beautiful..

>>>> Comments, commentary and lively discussions, re: my writings or any topic germane to the medium and its apparatus, are vigorously encouraged.

It's that time of the year again when fried dough and an ice castle make their appearance.

It's also that time when I am out of the holiday festivities and commitments, not to mention the whole exhibition thing, and thoughts of picture making are starting to come back to a "normal" activity level. That means that my picture making has pick up speed and I'm back to having a slight backlog of pictures for posting.

That said, I haven't quite slipped back into the mindset of thinking and writing about the medium of picture making. More than any other factor, that is probably due to the fact that, with the exhibition now under my belt, I have been doing my "talking" with my pictures and, truth be told, I kinda like that kind of "talking".
