This blog is intended to showcase my pictures or those of other photographers who have moved beyond the pretty picture and for whom photography is more than entertainment - photography that aims at being true, not at being beautiful because what is true is most often beautiful..

Seems very civilised until you get to the ketchup bottle and a plonker wearing a cap at the table.
By itself, the leftmost image looks like a focusing error. It really needs the second image (lady) to make sense. Maybe this is a "disjointed panoramic" rather than a tryptich?
The second image has a pleasing even light and a pretty lady. The stylish clothes, cigarette in one hand, the bag on the lap and the smart-phone in the other hand scream "yuppie".
The third image is almost a "do nothing" snapshot but it has it's charms: the dark red of the sauce bottle, shirt and paintwork (across the street) tie in nicely. And the way the light reveals the texture / folds in the material is wonderful. So easy to render with a camera; hardwork for the painter!
Of course, one wonders what is the relationship between these two people? Their dress sense is different but they are both [trying to be] cool.
All the way to Old Montreal to go to a chain restaurant?....tsk tsk tsk
