For this image I could have adjusted the composition and exposure and shown an image that was gorgeous, majestic, and momentarily powerful. But wouldn't the response only be fleeting? Mine would. Instead I left it (with a little exaggeration) as I saw it. I also put myself in there to remember the tranquility this spot brought to me, along with the stressful thoughts of my upcoming show and other life matters that I pondered while resting there. I can hear the rushing water better, smell the mist and damp ground better, feel the emotion of sitting there thinking. I don't think I could if I adjusted it to be near perfect (perfect as in "zoned" and accurately colored to enhance the scene).

So, I guess I just don't understand what makes some people linger on an image that has only a (in my opinion) fleeting glimpse of a place that they once were and saw the same majestic vista, or a place they would like to go and see that majestic vista. I'm not saying I don't get sucked into those images and enjoy them from time to time, I do.

More importantly, is that I guess I don't care why people enjoy those images and I don't...I'd still have a beer with them if they were cool people.

so cheers cool people,
Aaron

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
