At The Beach - Jim Jirka
What are coast scenes without the awesome sunset light that we have been bombarded with?
Images that provide a respite from the mundane.
Ruby Beach - Olympic Washington Coast
This blog is intended to showcase the landscape photography of photographers who have moved beyond the pretty picture and for whom photography is more than entertainment - photography that aims at being true, not at being beautiful because what is true is most often beautiful..

Hey Jim
at first glance, I would have never have thought Jim Jirka.
The warm slanting light has been handled with a nice bit of subtle delicacy
Is that good, bad or just more than a one trick pony? Is it my departure from the detail? To tell the truth this was from my vacation with wife and young son, whom the latter was thrilled when I let him use my digital to take pictures. He is currently on my imposed house arrest for trying to become a grafitti artist on the local school property. This week was more for making some decorative art with the holidays coming up.
